Moonlight

Moonlight, an open-source family of Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) language models, was created by Moonshot AI. It provides a robust benchmark performance and nearly doubles AdamW's compute efficiency when trained with the Muon optimizer.

Features of Moonlight:

• 3B and 16B MoE Models: Utilizing a Mixture-of-Experts architecture to ensure efficient performance, these models are available in two configurations.
• Muon Optimizer: Optimizes the utilization of training computes by achieving approximately twice the sample efficiency of AdamW.
